On Monday (January 18th) we celebrated Martin Luther King Jr's  Birthday.  CSC students and community members marched a little more than a mile from downtown Chadron to CSC's Chicoine Center.  Chadron Public School students jointed the march near Memorial
Park and proceeded through the Student Center and around to the Chicoine Center.
We heard speeches and sang songs about Martin Luther King Jr.  We would like to thank
Dr. David Nesheim (History Professor) at Chadron State College for organizing the event.
The time is always right to do what is right.
-Martin Luther King, Jr.We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into friend.
Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.
The ultimate tragedy is not the oppression and cruelty by the bad people but the silence over that by the good people.
We are not makers of history. We are made by history.
We may have all come on different ships, but we're in the same boat now. Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter.Nonviolence is a powerful and just weapon. which cuts without wounding and ennobles the man who wields it. It is a sword that heals.
