Mr. Jerry Mack
Nebraska developed NeSA (Nebraska State Accountability) tests years ago. At the high school level, only grade 11 students are tested to provide important information about each school's ability to teach curriculum standards. Of course, Chadron High School has gained an academic reputation due to high test scores each year. For example, last year Chadron High School had the 3rd highest Reading scores among all Nebraska high schools.
However, high school accountability is changing!

FAFSA COMPLETION DAY
Knowing the many efforts of the district to be fiscally accountable to our patrons, I collected data from the past 10 years for my own analysis. What I found, was that the district has had very minimal yearly expense increases and works with the same total revenue as ten years ago. However, the funding sources that provides revenue have dramatically changed.
What follows are my notes and opinions. ~Jerry Mack
2016 Range Judging Results
Chadron Agricultural Education students competed last Wednesday in Area 1 Range judging competition held near Dix Nebraska. There were seven stations involved in the competition, including range plant identification, ecological site classification, percent of pasture usage, overall pasture health, range AUM (annual unit month) calculations, and a written test covering general range knowledge. Chadron High had 27 AgEd students participate. The ribbon winners are as follows:
Today is the release of the 2016 NeSA State Test Scores .....or at least part of them!
I'm just going to begin by saying that I've been frustrated (impatient is probably a better term) at the unusually long wait of the public release of the 2016 state test scores that were completed last spring. The Nebraska Department of Education finally agreed that September 16th would be the public release of the results of all four subjects, however a statement this week indicated that the Writing scores will be embargoed from public release until another review is complete.
