Bracket Released for 2017 Chadron Rotary - George Watson Holiday Basketball Classic Tournament
The brackets are set for our annual Chadron Rotary Basketball Tournament!
The tournament will be played on December 29 & 30th at the Chicoine Center on the CSC campus.
No passes are accepted.
$5 Adult
$4 Students and Seniors
Chadron will open against Hemingford with the girls game at 5:30pm followed by the boys at 7:00pm on December 29th. Come early to watch Valentine and Custer compete with games beginning at 2pm.

Chadron FFA Adds Three State Qualifiers at Leadership Contest
(Submitted by CHS FFA Reporter Billy Tidyman)The Chadron FFA Chapter was represented well on Wednesday, November 15, at CSC where members competed in different speaking events. A big congratulations goes to our three state qualifiers: Hunter Hawk, who was district champion in Senior Public Speaking, Jake Lemmon, who was district champion in Employment Skills, and Renee Redfern, who placed second in Cooperative Speaking.
CHS Hosts - Apply to College Week!
This week CHS celebrates Apply to College Week. On November 8th all seniors expected to graduate at the end of this academic year will be encouraged to apply for admission to at least one college or university. The purpose of this week is to acquaint students with the college application process and to communicate the importance of applying to college. Check out the list of events.
Circle of Light Fundraiser Kicks Off
Chadron Public Schools' classrooms are competing to raise money for the Circle of Light and the Future Healthcare Professions Scholarship.
The Circle of Light is a program that gives financial assistance to patients diagnosed with cancer in our area. The Future Healthcare Professions Scholarship is a scholarship program for seniors interested in the healthcare profession. Both are aimed at giving back to our community.
One Acts Present "John Lennon and Me" Nov. 10-11th
The Chadron High one act team will be presenting “John Lennon and Me,” by Cherrie Bennett, on Friday November 10th and Saturday November 11th. The play tells the story of a young girl who suffers from cystic fibrosis and has spent her life in a children’s hospital. It is a touching story of her battle with an incurable disease while learning about friendship through humor and hardship.
#dylanTUFF - Where To Make Donations
Chadron High School Junior, Dylan Waldron sustained multiple injuries last week in a single-vehicle accident while driving to school. He is recovering well in a Denver area hospital. There are many efforts underway to raise donations for the family's expenses.
Donations can be made to the Dylan Waldron Benefit Account at the First National Bank of North Platte.

The UCC Women's Book Club and our Marshallese friends invite you to come enjoy the NE Loves Public Schools film, Seeds of Hope.
It explores how schools welcome and educate immigrant and refugee families as they start their lives over in America. Follow some of our own Chadron students and educators as well as other Nebraska newcomer students: the inconceivable trauma and tribulations of their past, the perseverance to succeed in the present, and their hopes for a brighter future through quality education.
Lunch Advisory Meeting - Wed. Oct. 18th @ 3:30p
Lunchtime Solutions is having a Lunch Advisory Meeting in the Chadron Public Schools Central Office conference room Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. This meeting is an opportunity for students and parents to visit about our school lunch program and offer input to the breakfast and lunch programs. A State Champion and a Runner Up Team Finish at State Golf
CHS Senior, Alpine Hickstein ties the all-class scoring record of 142 in the two-day state golf tournament winning the Class C Individual Championship ....... by 20 strokes!!!
Fantastic performances by Taurie Pourier, Aubree Noble, Kat Dodd, Madeline Pelton led to the team State Runner Up Trophy!
