We would like to thank Exxon Mobil Educational Alliance program for the $500 grant awarded to Chadron Intermediate School. Exxon Mobil along with the Moyle Petroleum Company and the Chadron Common Cents Convenience Store provided the opportunity for our school to apply for the grant made possible through funding from the Exxon Mobil Corporation.
Sheri Daniels and UNWNRD sponsored the 2016 Poster Contest again this year. She is standing with Trinity B. a local winner with her poster that will headed to Lincoln to be judged by other students across the state. The 2nd place CIS student was Taylor K. in 3rd Grade. Congratulations to both students!
Book ProjectsThe Big Idea for Unit 2 in reading is: "What can animals teach us?" Each student in my reading group had to pick out a chapter book that had an animal as either the main character or an animal played an important role in the story. We are now choosing which projects we will complete. Each child must pick two of the nine projects and will then give a presentation on their book. The presentations will be in two weeks. Below is their Choice Board.
