CHS Graduates Outscore State and National Averages Again on the ACT!
Note: THESE ARE NOT THE STATE TESTING RESULTS FOR JUNIORS.
When looking at this data compared to other states, an important piece to interpret is the number (or percent) of
graduates who have taken an ACT. Nebraska has ranked very high each year with typically around 80% of
graduates that have taken an ACT prior to graduation compared to Eastern states that might have as few as

DRESS UP DAYS
Parents: Help Stop Teenage Vaping and Juuling!
Parents: We're hearing about an increase in student use of vaping products including Juul which looks like a USB device and comes in flavors including mint, mango, fruit medley and creme brulee. I'm sharing the following video and information for your awareness of these products. I hope you will take the time to be on the look-out for these dangerously addictive products.

Patriot Day - A National Day of Remembrance
Patriot Day happens every year and is observed as the National Day of Service and Remembrance. It lands on September 11th of each year in memory of the 2,977 killed in the September 11th terrorist attacks in 2001. A bill to make a national day of mourning on September 11th was introduced in the U.S. House on October 25, 2001, but it wasn’t actually declared as Patriot Day until 2002. Today, the American flag is flown at half-staff at the White House as well as at all U.S. government buildings.
School Bus Safety Notes
Driving Safety - September 2018 EditionDriving safety is a key exposure for school districts/ESU’s, and even though this topic is covered rather often, ALICAP would like to stress drivers safety again. Whether the school vehicle is driven by the traditional school bus driver or a special education teacher or a cheerleading sponsor or a maintenance worker, it doesn’t matter, all employee types need driving safety training.
