How Full is your Bucket?

Last week CIS Students and Staff recognized the importance of being a bucket filler rather than a bucket dipper. The discussions and activities were based on the book How Full is your Bucket?
The story is based on the idea that everyone has an invisible bucket and that we all need positives to fill our bucket. When someone's bucket is empty, they sometimes react in a negative or mean way. When you fill someone else's bucket, it also fills your own. Students also discussed the importance of masks and how they were feeling about the coronavirus.

Bat Education

Q: What did the bat say to the friend who returned after missing a day of school?

Did you know there are over 1000 different types of bates?

Parent Teacher Conferences-Virtual (Oct. 20 & 22)

As we work through the safety issues of our pandemic plans, we feel having in person conferences is not feasible.  We care about each and every student.  The teachers will be reaching out to parents individually on Tuesday and Thursday via zoom, email or phone calls.

Do You Know the Standard Response Protocols?

Do You Know the Standard Response Protocols? Chadron Public Schools has been proud to work with the iloveuguys Foundation to provide clear, plain, standard responses to emergency events.  The Standard Response Protocol (SRP) has undergone a couple of changes in the past year.  One is the change from the term "Lockout" to "Secure".  'Lockout' was too similar in sound as 'Lockdown' so the term was switched to maintain a clear understanding of the difference.  The other change is the addition of "Hold", which simply asks students and staff to remain in their rooms during class.
