CHS Grads Visit the Primary School

The newest graduation tradition is to visit our Biggest Little Fans in the Cardinal nest at the Primary School.

9:00am Start for HS on Wednesday, May 9th

Due to the senior check out process from 8:00-9:00, Chadron High School will begin classes at 9:00am for grades 9-11 on Wednesday, May 9th.

Student Anxiety Documentary at CSC April 30th

Parents are invited to attend a screening of the documentary "Angst: Raising Awareness Around Anxiety". Screenings of the 56-minute documentary are Monday, April 30th at 1 PM and 7 PM at Memorial Hall on the CSC campus. Culinary Arts Students Get Restaurant Experience at Estes Park Resort

Three Culinary Arts 2 students took part in a daylong session of cooking techniques, learning career options, participated in banquet preparation and menu development. The opportunity came across with an invitation to bring Chadron Culinary 2 students to an newly formed resort/restaurant in Estes Park, CO.

HS Sports Physicals - Wednesday, May 2nd

The High School sports physicals are scheduled for Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 7am in the High School Gym/locker room area.  

No School - Friday, April 13th (Snow Day)

There will be no school today (Friday, April 13th) for Chadron Public Schools due to forecasted snow and wind. Activities scheduled for the day are also cancelled or will be postponed.

Brenda Budler Named 2018 Nebraska FBLA Advisor of the Year!

Chadron High School teacher, Brenda Budler, was awarded the 2018 Nebraska FBLA Advisor of the Year during last week's State FBLA Convention.

Mrs. Budler is in her 16th year of teaching Business and Foods classes at Chadron High School. She co-sponsors the Chadron High School FBLA Chapter with Renae Noble.


Chadron HS Wins Big at the 2018 CSC Scholastic Day Contest

Weather drastically limited the number of schools attending the 2018 Chadron State College Scholastic Day Contest. However, Chadron High School students did another amazing job at the contest, especially considering that 35 other students are competing at the State FFA contest in Lincoln, 12 are competing at the State FBLA contest in Omaha, and a few others are competing at the State National History Day contest in Lincoln  ...all at the same time!

Check out the new video series that we've partnered with the Chadron Record on!  'On The Record' will be a regular video series to promote communication with school and other community officials.

Tuesday, April 3rd - It's a Big Deal Day (Testing Day)

Students: Get your rest, and eat a good breakfast for the first day back from break!

The first day back from Easter break is the state-wide ACT paper & pencil test for all juniors as part of the new state accountability assessments.  We realize that the first day back from a four-day break was not the best choice by the state for a testing day, but every other high school deals with the same issue.

Courtney Milburn Shares Her Story With CHS Students

 A huge Thank You to Courtney Milburn for visiting with our students today about the consequences of drinking. She shared her heartfelt story of a car accident that led her down a path of recovery. Her persistence and positive attitude is truly a remarkable story for all.

No School Wednesday, March 21st for Teacher Inservice

There will be no school for K-12 students on Wednesday, March 21st due to district inservice training for teachers.

March 14th Potential Student Walkout Information

Dear Parents,

On Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 10:00 AM, there is a planned, nationwide, 17-minute voluntary school
walkout for students to show solidarity with the victims of school violence. Chadron Public School (CPS)
students who choose to participate in the walkout will be allowed to do so and parents are more than
welcomed to join their child. The 17 minute walkout honors the 17 fatalities of the recent school tragedy in
Parkland, FL.
