Congratulations to the CHS football team on an undefeated season! CHS will host the first round of the football playoffs on Friday, 10/29 at 2:00. In an effort to safely clear the campus and open parking for the game, Chadron Public Schools will have a 12:00 dismissal on that day. The noon dismissal bell schedule is below.

Find Your Why Challenge
CMS 8th grade students rocked the Find Your Why challenge, placing in the top 3 in the nation! Two teams, Yellow Bananas and Whales individually placed in the top 5 in the nation! Congratulations to all of the 8th grade students and their teachers on their accomplishment.

Eagle Effort Awards
On September 11th, 2021, students from Chadron Primary, Chadron Intermediate, and Chadron Middle Schools were honored by the Chadron State Football Team. The Eagle football team believes that winning in the classroom is just as important as winning on the field. The students were chosen by teachers because they demonstrated EAGLE EFFORT inside the classroom by working hard, helping peers, and setting a great example for others.
8th Grade Students ONLY - NRPFSS Survey 9/3/21

CMS School Picture Day - September 2, 2021
Picture day at Chadron Middle School will be on Thursday, September 2nd, 2021. Picture packets will be available in the middle school office on Wednesday, August 25th. Students should bring their picture packets and money (check or exact change please) with them on picture day.

Free WCHR Immunization Clinic @ CHS
Western Community Health Resources (WCHR) will host a vaccination clinic on Monday, August 16th from 1-3pm in the Chadron High School Commons. The State required vaccinations for incoming Kindergarten and 7th grade students will be available. Your child MUST have the required vaccinations prior to the first day of school. WCHR will also offer the optional Covid vaccine to students who are 12 years old and older. Please call WCHR for any questions about vaccinations at 432-2747.

Dress Code Reminder
Last year we had many students in the district learn from home. So, with all students returning to school this year, here's the section of the Parent/Student Handbook referring to student appearance. 7th Grade Physical and Immunization Requirement Information
Dear Parent/Guardian,
Nebraska state law requires that students have a physical examination conducted by a physician, physician assistant, or advanced practice registered nurse-nurse practitioner within the six months prior to entrance into the 7th grade. If your child received the school sports physical on May 13th, the physical requirement has been met. In addition, all 7th grade students must provide the school with evidence that they have had a booster dose of a tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (Tdap) vaccine prior to the beginning of school.

1:30 - 4th grade students arrive at CMS and meet in the gym.
1:30-1:40 - Welcome by Mr. Dressel/Mrs. Dubs
1:45-2:00 - 5-minute classroom rotations
- Mrs. Merkel/ Mr. Retchless, Mr. Calkins and Ms. O'Boyle (15-minutes)
2:05-2:15 - Meet back in the gym for Building Tours (Two Groups)
2:15-2:30 - 4th grade students meet in Band Room
