Building Principals' Text Messaging Unavailable

Unfortunately, changes to the free Remind text messaging service used by staff throughout the district now requires payment for accounts of more than 150 members.  This will not affect most accounts used by teachers and coaches, however, it will affect the four building accounts hosted by each of the principals.

Chromebook Orientation Programs on Aug. 6th & 8th at 6:00p

High School Students: In order to receive a Chromebook this year, you and a parent/guardian MUST attend a Chromebook Orientation at the HS Auditorium on Aug. 6th at 6pm. or on Aug. 8th at 6pm.

Fall Sports Meeting - Monday, Aug. 12th @ 6:30p

The annual Fall Sports meeting for students and parents will be held Monday, August 12th in the High School Auditorium.
This meeting is intended for all high school students participating in a fall sport.  Students and parents will have the opportunity to meet with coaches for schedules and sport information.

Hyer & Margetts place 2nd at the NHD National Contest

National History Day is an international program for students in grades 6-12.  Students compete either individually or in groups in 5 different categories. Students must place in the top 3 at their regional contest and then in the top 2 at the state level before advancing to the national level.  Over 3,000 students from across the United States, territories, and military schools throughout the world presented projects based on this year’s theme, “Triumph and Tragedy in History.”

Advanced Biology Studies the Nervous System

When studying the nervous system, one must surely be in awe of its speed and power. The
Chadron High advanced biology class recently explored the nervous system, specifically the
nervous systems reaction times. In order to test the reaction times of the nervous system, a
series of experiments were conducted and the results were recorded in a graph. After all of the
data had been compiled, questions on the experiment were completed by the students to further

Summer Weight Room Hours for Student Athletes

A few times have changed to try and eliminate the congestion in the weight room. Most workouts can be completed in 40-45 minutes if done correctly and this schedule allows for almost everyone to have their own weight room time.
