Yearbook purchases will be made through www.jostensyearbooks.com. Additionally, a special feature of this program allows parents the option of an installment payment plan. The price will begin at $60, by September 25th the price will raise to $65, and by late winter, the cost will be $80.
We don’t order extra yearbooks, so it’s best to pre-order. The sooner you do, the cheaper!

Today was an eventful day to say the least. Our staff and students have been affected by CoVid and quarantines. For full transparency we now have three high school and one middle school staff member test positive. We have been commended over and over again that our school is doing great with our plan and procedures. They have not quarantined anyone for spread in our buildings.

Information for our new CPS At-Home Learning can be found by clicking the tab on the district website. Also included on the website is a tab to lead you to information for the many procedures and protocols associated with the prevention of COVID-19 at Chadron Public Schools.
Here is the draft our our Standard Operating Procedures for the high school. Our teachers will be working with this document this week (Aug. 10-14) to finalize procedures for the start of school with students August 17th.

2020 Chadron High School FFA excels at state virtual competitions!
Unified Command, in consultation with medical advisors, has updated their school investigation guidance in a classroom setting for determining close contacts based on the increasing evidence of the effectiveness of cloth face coverings. Case investigators will take the specifics of every situation into account during the investigation to make a determination.
At-Home Learning ProgramChadron Public Schools will be providing students and families an in-home learning option through the CPS At-Home Learning Program. Families who choose to place their child(ren) into the CPS At-Home Learning Program will be required to remain in the program for at least one semester to ensure continuity of learning. Students who participate in the CPS At-Home Learning Program will not be eligible to participate in extracurricular or after school activities.
We'll give students two extra days of summer! :)
With the many changes to the procedures of school due to COVID-19 concerns, Chadron Public Schools will spend two extra days with teachers for training and preparations before students arrive. Pending final School Board approval at the next regular meeting, the first day of school for students will be Monday, August 17th. No announcement has been made whether it'll be a full day or a 1:30 dismissal yet.
Here is the concussion testing schedule for high impact sports. All tests are conducted in the high school library computer lab. All freshman and juniors in the indicated fall sports will be tested including any new sophomore or senior participants that have transferred in and have not completed a concussion test from their previous school.
